Haiti Earthquake. - 12th January 2010. Haiti, Dominican Republic.
There was a 7.0 earthquake, 52 aftershocks were recorded measuring over 4.5 for a week and a half after. 100,000 to 316,000 deaths. Wide spread damage to buildings including hospitials, transport facilities and communication systems.
Queensland Flood. - November 2010 to January 2011. Queensland, Australia.
Lots of floods started in November 2010. 90 towns and 200000 people were effected. houses buildings Communications and roads were damaged.
The Galtur Avalanche. - 23rd February 1999. Alpine Village of Galtur, Austria.
In January multiple storms happened, then large snowfalls. Freeze-thaw conditions made a weak layer on top of the snow pack, then more snow came. High winds started, creating snowdrifts which started the avalanche. It killed 31 people, ruined buildings and turned over cars.
Samoa Earthquake and Tsunami. 29th September 2009. Samoa, American Samoa and Tonga.
A tsunami was created from a earthquake. It hit the islands and caused 189 deaths, damaged shops, houses and hundreds injured.
Hurricane Florences. September 2018. Cape Verde and the Carolinas, USA.
A hurricane was forms because of high winds, it caused 54 deaths. It was slow moving with widespread rain and flooding along the coast of the carolinas, it also pulled out power lines and trees. The storm spawn tornadoes along it's path.
